Jiuxiang

The Jiuxiang Scenic area near Kunming in the Yunnan province is home to some of the most amazing caves and karst scenery in China. Besides the massive caves, there are plenty of cool river and canyon-like scenery that make it an awesome destination.

To get to the caves, I took two boat rides down the scenic Maitian River followed by a short hike, surrounded by the amazing karst and river scenery of the area. The caves were obviously the highlight, with tons of unique and intricate formations inside them, making Jiuxiang one of the coolest natural wonders I've been to in the entire country.
