Monterey Bay in the central coast of California is a haven for both coastal scenery and aquatic wildlife, with plenty of diverse creatures calling the bay and its surroundings home.

Among the all the wildlife in Monterey, Sea Otters were by far my favorite as they were just adorable. At both Monterey and Elkhorn Slough, I got to see tons of Sea Otters, some with their pups, hanging out right inside the bay. Some other notable aquatic mammals include Harbor Seals relaxing in Elkhorn Slough as well as tons of California sea lions, which were literally everywhere in the town of Monterey Bay.

On a whale watching tour in Monterey, I got to spot a pod of Risso's dolphins as well as a Humpback whale and her calf, some of the coolest aquatic animals on Earth.
